About
Sean Hutton

Sean Hutton was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and settled in Australia as a young adult. His interest in art began from an early age, and he is particularly inspired by portraiture, landscape and allegorical themes.

After winning the prestigious Dobell scholarship from the Julian Ashton Art School, he has gone on to be a finalist in numerous art prizes and the recipient of many awards.

He has completed portrait commissions for many private collections and in 2021, his portrait of Philip Flood AO was acquired by the National Portrait Gallery of Australia for their permanent collection.
